A self portrait for the end of undergrad. Some people liked this on my tumblr and it was bought at the commencement show. Trying to work in a simplified manner and just in black and white. This illo looks a lot like my intaglio prints--I will post those soon.

This piece was based on a WIRED article. The article was about a pill that could potentially help erase painful memories. This piece was up at my commencement show. Sorry I have not posted in so long, I think my break from not working is officially over. IM BACK!

NYT Book Review

Andrea Rossi, 2012

Ill based off of Audrey Shulman's book, Three Weeks in December. The New York Times had a book review for it- "Outsiders of Africa" . Seems like a good read, two simultanious stories of Americans in the wild wild wild. read it HERE

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Cover Design

I don't want to jinx it BUT I think I am fully recovered now. It has taken me a while to get back to work. Two weeks in the hospital really takes it out of you. 2 book cover designs for the Novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest . I was having a hard time focusing in on one of them so decided to just finish both. Pencil and ink digitally colored. Let me know what ya'll think!

THE ENCHANTED PRINCESS

Based off of the Russian Folktale " The Enchanted Princess". She is crying because her soon to be husband, the one who could break the spell, got put into a deep sleep from a poisoned apple. So basically Snow White but backwards.... except wwaaaaay better.
Russians do it right. (on a side note, her expression is how i feel about finals right now)

The top ill is from the same tale but this is her prince enduring some tormenting just to be with her and pass a test. He had to do this for 3 nights and not move an inch as demons and spirits would harass him all night long.

THE CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN

These two ills are for the Russian Folktale, "The Crystal Mountain" . I illustrated a horse that was separated in order to feed some characters in the folktale, as well as all the different steps in order to destroy the mountain, that is EVIL and bad for this particular kingdom. Drawings colored digitally.

LIttle Sister Fox and the Wolf.

These two ills are for the Russian Folktale "Little Sister Fox and the Wolf". Basically, its about a sneaky little fox and a wolf who gets tricked time and time again because he is too trusting and dumb to know better.

The Man Who did not Know Fear

Another re-post but I fixed the colors a little bit in the illustration to fit the rest of the illustrations. I like it way better. =) I know, its super pink.

NEW AND IMPROVED

So after a critique I decided to change up the closing statement for the Russian folktales. Its like a secret now... you have to look close.

SLYTHERIN SCANs

I scanned in the Slytherin diptych (this is an improved re-post). It got into the Undergrad Juried Show and I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of surprised it got in. swag.
